Safeguarding Officer

The main role of The Safeguarding Officer is to identify those volunteers who, because of their particular role in the parish, are required to be vetted and complete the Diocesan Safeguarding training programme.

The Safeguarding Officer appreciates the forbearance of volunteers in complying with this process.

The role of The Safeguarding Officer is to promote safe practice in all parish related activities involving children, young people and vulnerable adults.

This is a shared responsibility between priests and laity

The laity needs to be involved in ensuring that we all do what has to be done.  If you have any concerns about the protection of children and/or vulnerable adults within the parish please contact our Safeguarding Officer – Jill Beasely.
